The Area:

Where does one start when talking about Darlinghurst? Darlinghurst is an exciting suburb that is located in the inner city of Sydney. This suburb is literally a stone's throw away from Sydney City and Paddington. Hence, it is in the centre of the hippest part of Sydney. A bus trip from Darlinghurst to the city will only take about 10 minutes. Most residents around here are young working professionals who live in apartments or terrace houses.

It is the home of Oxford Street and Taylor Square – a very fashionable area of Sydney with many pubs, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs and of course the annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.

It has many historic buildings including the Darlinghurst Gaol (which now houses the National Art School), and the Darlinghurst Court House which is still in use today. The world renowned St Vincent’s Hospital has been servicing the community for over 150 years.

Victoria Street in Darlinghurst offers a variety of cafes and restaurants. It’s home to Sydney’s most popular ice cream shop in Messina . If you are up for some serious dining, Stanley Street will be the place to head to with cuisines ranging from Japanese to Thai to Italian and fusion.

Close by to Darlinghurst, bordered by Kings Cross and Woolloomooloo, just like Paris, Potts Point is a place for foodies. Or head over to Surry Hills for a virtual treasure trove of cuisine, there are so many excellent Restaurants and Bars. Try Woolloomooloo Wharf for Dinner or lunch in the Sun

For nightlife destinations you can’t go past The Passage, Kings Cross Hotel, Sugar Mill and Sydney institution, Hugo’s. Why not sample the Cocktails at Velluto or Chester White

From Darlinghurst you can get anywhere in Sydney with ease, It is an easy walk to Sydney City Westfield and Darling harbor shops and restaurants. You can take a train or a quick Bus ride into Circular Quay and visit sights such as the Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera house and the Botanic Gardens.

You can walk to Oxford St and Catch a bus Directly to Bondi Beach or check out the excellent Shops in Paddington.

    Loved this place!

My husband and I spent a week in Sydney with our two teenagers and really enjoyed this apartment! Very well-equipped with huge balcony (and yes you can see the bridge and Opera House) and the concierge service was great. The owner even stopped by with a bottle of bubbly on New Year’s Eve. Lots of good dining options close by and 20 minute walk to Circular Quay.

    Great property, perfect location

We loved everything about this property. Great location, just a few blocks from train station and walking distance to the CBD, circular quay and many other locations. Close to market, cafes and pubs too. Concierge was friendly and always helpful. The condo offered plenty of space for the three of us and balcony with city and harbor view was perfect for relaxing in the evenings and coffee in the morning. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone traveling to Sydney.

Great place, very clean and fresh, good location, nice city views, friendly and helpful concierge. Recommend this place. The only negative would be that the blender in kitchen was not working (noticed after buying ingredients to make smoothies).

    perfect location, stylish and clean

A perfect location to explore Sydney with King Cross station nearby. The apartment is clean, stylish and well equipped ( design kitchen, washing machine) and has enough space for 4 matures. A great view on Harbour bridge and the Opera House. The concierges are friendly and alert. The property agency is very helpful and responds quick and clear on questions from our side.
